The new Apple iPhoto for iPad and iPhone was released this week. It’s really pretty awesome. Here’s a screencast demo on my iPad for your enjoyment.
Here’s Apple’s take on the new iPhoto …
It’s everything you love about viewing, editing, and sharing photos — but with the power and simplicity of Multi-Touch. You can quickly organize and compare photos. Brush adjustments onto an image with your finger. Apply professional-quality effects in a single tap. And create beautiful photo journals to share with family and friends. It’s creative control like you’ve never experienced before.
Why I like iPhoto for iPad
Having only use iPhoto for a couple days there are some reasons I like this app as a great photo editing tool.
- Simplicity – much like iPhoto for Mac, this app makes it very simple to crop, edit and share photos without much skill. Even better, iPhoto adds a new set of editing tools, such as tilt shift, that bring it up to speed with other mobile editing apps, such as Instagram and Snapseed.
- Integration – as part of the iLife suite, iPhoto plays nice with advanced iOS features such as iCloud, making it easy to automatically import from your Photo Stream and push final images back out.
- Beaming – this is a great new feature that allows you to send pictures to other iPhoto users without the hassle of emailing files back and forth.
